Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
@mrs bee
Thanks....gut feeling: nervous can't tell really.....just giving it my best.
Well I am looking for Jobs...but I haven't found one yet. a couple job interviews are lined up though...we'll see..
would love to move closer to Zurich/Winterthur or even Aarau, Solothurn. We're not fussy as long as there's some money coming in
@spring
Well today it's much better up here...although it's quite windy. But the breeze is nice as it would get too hot too quickly. I love it at the moment...my hayfever hasn't kicked in yet (well not as bad as in other years anyways) and I'm not much of a heat lover so the temperatures are perfect like this
@holidays
don't even know this word anymore...I'm off next week although I have to study, what else lol
We're looking to go on hols in September or October UK or Spain...
What are you doing in your holiday Mrs. Bee?

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
@ everybody: thanks for thinking of me. I’ve been very busy lately and have not been spending so many hours behind the computer as otherwise.
@ Mrs. Bee: the weather hasn’t been that bad the last days, hasn’t it? Ok, it’s windy and cloudy, but the trees are blossoming and it’s no longer freezing
For me, spring has arrived.
@ Fraboo: best wishes for you too ! I can believe that the girls keep you busy. It’s like they say: double the trouble, but also double the fun
@ Kara71: only a couple of months until Kindergarten. My twins were also more than ready for Kindergarten last year. They were real monsters from april-mai onwards and I was counting the weeks until they could go to Kindergarten. My little one also starts in sommer. She is totally ready and can’t wait to go. Luckily she is not more difficult than normal.
@eva-christina: good luck for your exams.
@ me: I do not nearly spend as much time on the computer like before. End of the month we are moving in to the house and nearly nothing is done! Even worse: we do not even have our building permit because of the (if you excuse my french) bl**dy fools and stupid a@*&%holes at the community!
On top of that we received offers for the roof which are just too much money and we can’t affort the whole renovation. Can you believe they want to charge us 100´000 swiss francs to install 3 dormer windows (Lukarnen)?????
Ok, we’re not talking about regular size, factory made ones (1 should be 4 metres wide for instance), but the prizes we are offered are way too high. Probably because the companies we asked know we move in end of mai and the work is urgent. So, after some deliberation, we decided not to install the dormer windows. I am still trying to convince my husband to install 1 instead of all three, but he definitly wants to cancel the whole thing.
My husband is totally fed up with the project, wishes we never bought the house and only compains and complains and complains. It’s driving me mad! He now even wants to cancel the enlargment of the bathroom, which for me is an absolute no-go. The bathroom is so small that it gets already problematic to brush your teeth with 2 people at the same time. So it just has to become bigger!
Anyway, we are running out of time and I’m very busy trying to save some of our project (yes, I am definitely installing a new kitchen and yes,I am buying some new, badly needed, furniture) and trying to handle my husband and cleaning out the basement in the meantime, …
Sorry to write such an negative ego-post. I’m just doing too many thing together at the same time and encountering too many problems along the way.
Just ignore my whineing ladies! I wish you all a very nice week!

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
Katreske - I hear you... my hubby would be the same. Only: he would want to do it himself. He wants to buy a house (we have no money) and now (we still don't have any money) and not in 5 years (which part of we have no money did he miss??) and is bitching about it. Grmpf.
Clerks are a pain in the derriere, especially when they know you can't go somewhere else. And the carpenters are really taking the piss, sorry. Better to wait and have it done later. But bath/kitchen are essentials and I'm with you there...
Eva: guess what, we're off to England
Though I can't complain (well, I can really, I can always complain - Miss Bitch here!) as we haven't been in a while. As usual, it will be a complete circus until we're there. Oh well.
Would love to go somewhere else for a change, for crying out loud. Hubby's answer: oh, yes. Would be nice. When it gets to the planning: we haven't been in the UK in a while. Grrrrr!!!!
Good luck with your interviews and the exams! Go for it!!

@house
hubby reckons we'll be able to afford our own house in 5 years...haha so I laugh at him saying we can hardly afford a flat with a garden in 5 years...
we'll see maybe one day, but he can clean the house! really can't deal with all that housework...good job I'm the one working.

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
@katreseke: sounds tricky with your house, but I'm sure you'll find a solution. I agree, that the kitchen and bathroom are important. First thing we did when we moved into our house, was changing the kitchen. Hubby did everything himself ( i mean everything apart from fitting the granite wortop and installing a gas connection for the hob). But I don't think this would have been possible with kid(s). At one stage we had an one ring electric cooker in the bathroom and no functional kitchen
@DIY: here, too
hubby usually does a lot of research on the internet before he starts a new project - which doesn't mean the previous one has to be finished when he starts.
@eva: good luck with exams and job hunt!

Taken the bunting down again ( boy did't want it anymore after his birthday).
Are you going to have a jubilee party?

You're right. I'm not bothered, and hubby, being a northener, isn't exactly a royalist. Does your hubby travel to England on business a lot or just to visit his kids?

Twinkle twinkle is big favourite too, and unfortunately I do have to sing along. Also 3 chlini Fischli - which I don't know - and old Macdonald.

Hi ladies
you know I'm nearly finished with my apprenticeship now....
well, I'm currently applying for a job with british gas and have to submit my cv.
Big Problem:
How do I translate "Kauffrau"?
Is it merchant? Clerk?
I don't quite understand the translations of the most common online translators.
thanks for your answer.
