Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
Hello Ladies
I did make it to the Jubilee Festivities - not bad, huh? The weather was bloody awful, but true Englishfolks don't let that spoil a party...
Katreske: have you moved house yet? Settled in?

@ mrs. Bee: but you didn't bring the weather back with you, did you? Did you go to see the boat parade?

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
I hope not, it was bloody freezing!
I did indeed watch some of it, but went also for a burger and a stroll to the village Jubilee festivities. English are a hardy breed, some rain won't stop them from having a village fete

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
Reminds me of our week walking in Scotland: once we were properly kitted out with rain gear, it was fine
I'm wondering, if we're bringing up a monkey or a boy at the moment: all he'll eat is fruit and veg at the moment. Pasta: don't like it, rice: don't like it. As a result he's just constantly eating and still not putting on any weight. In fact, a few weeks ago, he asked me to slacken the waistband on his jeans and now I had to tighten it up again. But I think he's groing lengthwise at a steady rate.

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
Want to change??? Little man eats nothing green or remotely healthy, favourite food is plain pasta (Bob the builder is a big hit at the moment) with grated cheese or plain rice with grated cheese. It's driving me bloody mental! Strawberry: no, don't like. Apple: no, don't like. Banana: no, don't like. Green food: no, don't like. Meat: no, don't like. Aaaarrrrrrgh!!!
He's just over 12 kg at the moment and approx. 86 cm tall. However, he drinks milk and eats joghurt, but the stress factor is all mine...
But: he's also a monkey. At least the noise level is

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
You seem to be in good company with a kid who doesn't like greens. I don't know, what's gone wrong with ours. He's now 110cm tall and weighs 18 kg, which I think is about average. It's just me who's feeling fat today. But I suppose I've got to get used to it for the time being
@katreseke: how's the new house?

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
All I hear all day:
Schoggi schoggi schoggi....
well so I guess I don't need to tell you how often little miss is eating her greens and reds and so on....
Just for your information: she's asking for schoggi a lot but she doesn't get it so as it is so very normal at that age, she throws one tantrum after another... happy days.
but then again she can be soooo cute and so lovable.
deary me, can you see the gray hair growing? lol

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
Thanks, Mrs. Bee. I still sometimes can't believe that I'm actually pregnant. We'd kind of given up on it and it took me quite some time till I realised what's going on
Boy isn't happy with the prospect of a new sibling. I hope he'll change his mind in time.
Kids and fruit: a banana is a good start. Does he like raisins and the like? Just thought they're quite sweet and don't really look like fruit.

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Today is one of those days, where I don't know, why one child isn't enough. Boy was at his worst behaviour (kicking, pinching, spitting, throwing things) - arrghhh. I don't know why he does it.
And: hubby said last week he wasn't really interested in the European Championship. Guess what he watches every evening?
But we've got a holiday to look forward to soon

Kara:
little "princess" is everything else but a princess. Her Behaviour is .... hmm let me just say CRAZY.
You could think she doesn^t get enough attention or is not going out enough or god know what else.
screaming out loud, punching, kicking....
the other day she had to sit on the naughty step 3 times, she just would not listen.
So at the moment I'm glad I only have one child so far...lol
maybe when that tantrum phase is over (when's that? At 25 years old?
) I might think of having another one...
But anyways, I reckon by the time your little one's born, you'll have forgotten about the tantrum throwing preschooler.

Re: English Chitchat, let's go!!
I hope, you're right. We send him to his room, when he's being naughty. But now he just misbehaves at mealtimes, if he doesn't like the look of his food or if wewon't let him have any ketchup, hoping we'll send him to his roomEva-Christina hat geschrieben:Kara:

Iphone's playing up
I think, I'm a lot more irritable at the moment and he's taking advantage.
Football: hubby was watching, so I kind of had to if I wanted to be in the same room. I wasn't impressed with either team's performance.
